Amen to that! I am not as confident that buildings won&amp;#39;t be bulldozed in the future, but that is another question.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;To conserve an old building, it has to be more than just old, of course. It has to be suited to the climate, well built and a good example of its architectural style. I don&amp;#39;t mind at all if the usage changes. That it was a port office and is now an upmarket hotel is very sensible.
